SirenSense: AI-Driven Traffic Signals for Emergency Response Optimization

I'm thrilled to share the journey and success of our project, SirenSense, which ranked among the top 10 in the Mumbai Tech Hackathon organized by Mentogram Eduversity, out of approximately 600 participating teams. 🚀

Our project focused on optimizing traffic signals to prioritize emergency vehicles, leveraging AI for dynamic traffic management. Here's a breakdown of our journey:

• Round 1 (1st July 2024): We began by registering our team and outlining the blueprint for SirenSense, detailing our tech stack, motivation, objectives, and target audience. This stage was crucial in shaping our vision into a clear plan.
• Round 2 (11th July 2024): We were selected among the top 100 teams and submitted a detailed project video, explaining our approach, research, and how we aimed to make SirenSense a viable solution.
• Round 3 (16th July 2024): After being selected among the top 10 teams, we participated in a live Q&A session with the CEO. This intense session involved in-depth discussions on how our project stood out and how our tech stack would help us achieve our goals.

The hard work paid off, and on 7th August 2024, Mentogram selected our project for real-life implementation, making us one of the winning teams of the competition! 🎉

As winners, we were awarded:

• 💻 $5000 AWS Credits
• ☁️ $20000 Azure Credits
• 🚀 $2000 Google Cloud Credits

These resources will be instrumental as we continue to develop SirenSense, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in the Generative AI domain.

This project has been an incredible learning experience, and I’m excited to see where this journey takes us. It’s just the beginning!
